With the arrival of cold weather, we experience one of our favorite times of the year: the rug change! Don't despair, you'll soon have your rug ready to provide warmth during the coldest winter months.
But first, follow these tips on how to store the rug you've used so much this summer.
cleaning
Before storing your rug, make sure it's clean. vacuum it and remove any stains it might have. Take advantage of this rug change to take it to a dry cleaner for a deep cleaning.
rolled rug
Spread the rug on a flat surface and start rolling the ends parallel to each other. It's important that the surface of the rug remains on the inside of the roll to avoid stains. This way, you'll only see the back of the rug.
cover it
Next, you can use a piece of plastic or paper to cover the roll you've formed with the rug. We recommend covering it with a material where you can make small holes to ensure good ventilation. You can also use an old sheet or similar.
store it
Finally, you should store the rug in a place where it doesn't receive direct light.
